Abdullah Abdullah is an Afghan politician who led the High Council for National Reconciliation (HCNR) until the Taliban takeover in 2021. He also served as the Chief Executive of Afghanistan from 2014 to 2020 and as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2001 to 2005. Prior to his political career, he worked as an ophthalmologist. Abdullah has been a key figure in Afghan politics for many years, involved in efforts to stabilize the country.
