Ayad Allawi is an Iraqi-British politician and neurologist who has played a significant role in Iraqi politics. He served as the vice president of Iraq from 2014 to 2015 and again from 2016 to 2018. Allawi also held the position of interim prime minister of Iraq from 2004 to 2005, during a crucial period of transition following the Iraq War.
