Chad Smith is an American musician and the drummer for the rock band the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He joined the band in 1988 and has been their longest-serving drummer, appearing on ten of their studio albums. Smith is also the drummer for the hard rock supergroup Chickenfoot and Chad Smith's Bombastic Meatbats. The Red Hot Chili Peppers were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.
