Chris Hadfield is a retired Canadian astronaut, engineer, fighter pilot, musician, and writer. A highly accomplished individual, Hadfield was the first Canadian to perform extravehicular activity in space. He flew on two Space Shuttle missions and served as commander of the International Space Station (ISS). Before his astronaut career, he served as a fighter pilot in the Canadian Armed Forces for 25 years.
