Robert Abela is a Maltese lawyer and politician who has been the Prime Minister of Malta and leader of the Malta Labour Party since 2020. He assumed office following the resignation of Joseph Muscat. Abela is the son of former President George Abela, and was elected to Parliament in 2017. He is known for leading Malta in recent years.
