Ahmed Nazif is an Egyptian politician who served as the 48th prime minister of Egypt. He held the position from 2004 to 2011, when his cabinet was dismissed due to the 2011 Egyptian revolution. During President Hosni Mubarak's medical absence in 2010, Nazif also served as acting president. His tenure as prime minister coincided with a period of significant economic growth in Egypt, but also increasing social and political unrest.
