Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga, commonly known as CBK, is a Sri Lankan politician who served as the fifth President of Sri Lanka from 1994 to 2005. She is the longest-serving president in Sri Lankan history. Before becoming president, she served as Prime Minister. She is a member of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) and comes from a prominent political family.
