Hubert Alexander Minnis is a Bahamian politician and doctor who served as Prime Minister of The Bahamas from May 2017 to September 16, 2021. He is the former leader of the Free National Movement (FNM), the former governing party. Minnis also served as the Member of Parliament for the New Providence constituency of Killarney. He was first elected to the legislature in 2007 and succeeded Hubert Ingraham as party leader after the FNM's defeat in the 2012 election.
