Karim Massimov is a Kazakh politician who held several high-ranking positions in the government of Kazakhstan. He served as Prime Minister of Kazakhstan for two terms, from 2007 to 2012 and again from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, he was Deputy Prime Minister and held ministerial roles in Economy and Budget Planning and Transport and Communications. More recently, he served as chairman of the National Security Committee from 2016 to 2022.
