Eduardo Frei Ruiz-Tagle is a Chilean politician and civil engineer who served as President of Chile from 1994 to 2000. Prior to his presidency, he worked as a civil engineer. Frei Ruiz-Tagle also served as a Senator and President of the Senate, continuing a family legacy of political leadership in Chile. His father, Eduardo Frei Montalva, was also a former president of Chile.
