Captain Moussa Dadis Camara, now known as Moïse Dadis Camara, is an ex-officer of the Guinean Army. He served as the third president of Guinea from December 23, 2008, to December 3, 2009. Camara came to power after leading a military coup d'état on December 23, 2008, shortly after the death of long-time president Lansana Conté. He was the first chairman of the National Council for Democracy and Development.
